Pete Sacco has spent almost three decades building the rooms AI lives in — and the last several asking what all of it is for.

An electrical engineer by training, Pete came up through power electronics for the defense industry, holding a secret clearance across two Gulf War eras. In 1998 he founded what became PTS Data Center Solutions — a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design-build and construction management firm, today operating as three divisions: INTUVA, GRID7, and Inspirica — that has delivered mission-critical facilities for NASA, Sandia National Laboratories, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Pfizer, and CyrusOne. In 2015 he co-founded Landing Exchange, the joint venture with Tata that created NJFX, the submarine cable landing hub on the New Jersey coast, and led its design.

Pete was born in Lodi, New Jersey, in 1967 to Pete and Marie Sacco — the son of a mortgage-company owner who showed him early that you build your own thing.
He's a husband to Maureen, a father, a grandfather, a son, and the kind of friend who still shows up on the sideline: he coached youth football for nineteen seasons (108–31) and helped coach Paramus Catholic through two state championship runs. He lives in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
